I have nothing against boobs, but they don't belong in the Social Networking category on the App Store.

I initially wrote this as a comment in my previous post: Why Adobe's mobile strategy is fundamentally flawed as a response to Rachel Luxemburg's comment but it grew somewhat so, in the interest of keeping comments short and succinct, here it is in its own post:

"Frankly, if you’re that convinced that Flash simply isn’t suitable for the mobile space, then you’re right, you’re going to get very frustrated at Adobe for not giving up and going home." (Rachel)

I can only assume that the source cited in this article on the rumored Apple slate was either misquoted or clueless when s/he stated:

"They've told select developers that as long as they build their apps to support full screen resolution - rather than a fixed 320x480 - their apps should run just fine"

Does Apple’s iSlate contain Magic Interaction Design Dust?

As nice as it might sound, you can't simply scale an app designed for a small screen and have it provide a good user experience on a large screen.

I just read Paul Graham's blog post titled Apple's Mistake. If Steve Jobs doesn't read that post and finally take some action on the farce that is the App Store approval process, Apple will have made two mistakes. And you should read it too because it is overflowing with wisdom.

It is telling in itself that Paul doesn't feel the need to make the case that Apple's App Store approval process is broken. I feel we can all safely agree that it is. The real problem, according to Paul, however, is a greater one: (more...)

Thoughts on Paul Graham’s post: “Apple’s Mistake”

More than anything else, it is the potential nightmare of not being able to release timely updates that scares me about the iPhone. More than anything else, this is the reason I am actively looking into alternative platforms like Palm's WebOS and Google's Android.

Occipital is the company behind RedLaser (iTunes link), a hugely-successful barcode scanning app for the iPhone that is one of the top-selling and highest-grossing apps on the App Store.

Beyond that, however, Occipital is a Value Adder, just like Joe Hewitt.
