According to Walt Mossberg, Apple is going to add Flash support to the iPhone "within the next couple of months". This revelation came in response to a question on a recent column:
Q: If the iPhone’s Web browser is so good, why can’t it play video on Web sites I visit?
At launch, the iPhone version of the Safari browser is missing some plug-ins needed for playing common types of Web videos. The most important of these is the plug-in for Adobe’s Flash technology. Apple says it plans to add that plug-in through an early software update, which I am guessing will occur within the next couple of months. (Read the whole article here.)

Arul twittered this parody of the iPhone a few moments ago. It's really well made and, well, makes an important point very nicely.

A tiny tip, but I find it useful: If you use T-Mobile hotspots, don't believe what the login form tells you. I discovered by accident that you can use your phone number alone (instead of the full
yourphonenumber@tmobile.co.uk that the form suggests) as your username when logging in. It may just be a few extra characters, but it makes a difference, especially on a mobile connection.
Steve Jobs pretty much confirmed the rumors that the iPhone would not support Flash during his
keynote at WWDC 2007 by stating that the only way developers will be able to create applications for the iPhone is to use, as he put it, "an innovative new way to create applications for mobile applications". Specifically, HTML and JavaScript (or "Web 2.0 + AJAX" as stated in the keynote using buzzwords).
Innovative? New?
