Patrick released a huge update to Amfphp a few days ago. I only just got the chance to play with it and it looks awesome. The new JSON support is perfect for a little somethin' somethin' I'm working on and the new Flex-based service browser has great potential. I especially like how the JSON support is backwards compatible with the slower PHP-based JSON parser as well as the new C-based parser in PHP 5.2.0.

The most important thing is that, with the addition of JSON, I can now see Ajax developers using Amfphp too. It's now possible to use the same service in JS and Flash/Flex. That's going to a real boon for sites that use a combination of JS and Flash/Flex too.

The first Leggo sculpture was unceremoniously dumped in front of my old place.

It's been such a busy few weeks with the move and Flash on the Beach conference that I didn't get the change to blog about a little something I started right before the move. I call it Leggo art.

Recently, I very publicly moved from Vodafone to using a Windows Mobile phone on T-Mobile because it was the only mobile internet solution available to me in the UK as a Mac user. Here's an update on how the past few months have been with T-Mobile and my Windows Mobile Phone (the MDA).

First off, T-Mobile. All in all, I've been happy with their service. The coverage does seem slightly worse than Vodafone but I haven't found it unusable. On the other hand, usability, or lack thereof, is the perfect topic to segway on to the subject of the MDA.

AsUnit-X updated with new icon I received an unexpected email from Jason Bednarik today with a lovely new icon for AsUnit-X attached to it. Jason apparently created his own application bundle for asunit previously and had an icon he made for it which he has generously let me use for AsUnit-X.

Thanks, Jason!
