I am just watching the news -- it's tragic: explosions on buses and the underground at rush hour.

I've been trying to reach people I know in the area by IM and fortunately everyone appears to be fine, including Mike Downey, who is in London currently.

I'm off to the airport in a few minutes to fly out to New York where I'll be presenting at the FlashForward conference. I should be in New York at about 3pm tomorrow, umm, I mean today (thanks to that lovely five-hour time difference!) This is exciting -- it will be my first time presenting at a FlashForward :)

Ok, Belgian, but I couldn't resist the title! My friend Gilles Bertrand has a new blog up at the wittily-named BeFlash.be where he (and his friend Vincent) will be blogging on Flash and RIA-related subjects in French. (Yet another reason for me to keep struggling to learn the language.)

If you do know French, another great site is Francis Bourre's Tweenpix -- although there doesn't seem to have been many updates this year (come on Francis, I have to keep Emilie busy translating your blog posts for me!)

Now that OSFlash is one-month old and growing rapidly, we need a usable, lovely, and accessible design to go with all the great content on the Wiki and to separate it from all the other DokuWikis out there. To make this possible, we will be running a design contest to pick a logo, layout and style for the website.
