Today I'm releasing The GAE SWF Project, a resource of Flash and Flex-related knowledge specifically aimed at getting you up and running quickly with Google App Engine. If you want to skip all the details and start playing with it, skip to the Getting Started section.

Yesterday, I spent some time working on a higher-level SWX library which will make its way into the SWX 0.3 release (yep, we're skipping to a whole new minor version number with the next release). The library/API also makes it easier to build Flash Lite applications with SWX as it provides classes that handle usual Flash Lite gotchas (such as the highly annoying ActionScript stuck error and loadMovie limitations). Of course, you will also still be able to use SWX without the library.
This is a huge release in terms of functionality as it brings us cross-domain data exchange. What this means is that anyone can now make their APIs available in SWX format, alongside JSON, XML, etc. I'm going to start talking to various people about this immediately.
The 0.2 release will also have some major changes, one of which I just decided upon a few moments ago, at the spirited urging of Bob Ippolito (thanks, Bob). Here is a heads up on the upcoming priorities in 0.2.0 and 0.2.1:
