A tiny tip, but I find it useful: If you use T-Mobile hotspots, don't believe what the login form tells you. I discovered by accident that you can use your phone number alone (instead of the full yourphonenumber@tmobile.co.uk that the form suggests) as your username when logging in. It may just be a few extra characters, but it makes a difference, especially on a mobile connection.
