Thanks for your feedback Ian, and Aral, thanks for you comments. Let me run through the points quickly:

* Geographically: is something in the works.

* “particular packages”: sorry Ian, like Aral, I don’t understand what you mean

* Tags: at the moment, I think categories is enough, I had considered tags but decided that they weren’t important enough for version 1

* Part/Full time: as Aral said, you can do this, however, just encase it wasn’t clear enough I’ve changed it from “Contract”, to “Contract / Freelance”. Hope that makes it clearer

* Map integration: I like it :) I’ve added it to the list of ideas/feature changes. Thank you – if I do it, I’ll make sure I credit you.

Hi Ian,

I’m sure Dave will chime in with his viewpoint but I like the simplicity of it. You have a very simple form to fill out to put up a job announcement. By area, do you mean geographically? I’m not sure I understand what you mean by “particular packages” — could you elaborate?

I’m sure Dave’s going to be evolving it as time goes by but he is very aware of feature bloat and has a firm focus on keeping it simple — which I think is a very Good Thing ™ :)

Jobs can be part time or contract (the ones up there currently all happen to be full-time.)

Regarding making it free and having employers pay when they fill the position: That would be impossible to track.

A Google map of the offers sounds like a great idea for a mashup :)

How is this better than others?

I think that you should offer it free, with the proviso that the employer pays when they fill the position. It would be nice to be able to restrict it to an area, and also to particular packages. Maybe have a tag list.

Could there be a part time work board as well. For small jobs to be done remotely or temporary positions. Freelancer type I suppose.

Would be nice to have a Google map of the offers. Perhaps someone else could do it from the RSS feed.
