For context, know that I live in the UK. Can we hold FF in Hawaii next year? :)
By the way, I'm in the lobby of the Sheraton hotel, polishing up my presentation notes and reviewing my course notes for tomorrow's workshop. Feel free to drop by and say hello.

Well Aral – you will choose to hang out at those ‘other’ conferences in the Northern Hemisphere ;-)
Had you made the wiser choice to come down to WebDU in Sydney you’d be enjoying balmy summer conditions down here (26,28,32,26)
Plus you could have been “the only gay in the village” with the Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras happening this week/end. Looks like Guy, Mike C, Danny, Tink, LordAlex and myself will have to wave the rainbow flag for you.
Have a great time in Seatle and be sure to say hi to all the Lego crew who didn’t make it down under this year.
Matt
Hey Matt, would have loved to but it was going to be way too expensive. I’m not doing conferences that don’t at least pay for your transportation and accomodation any more. I believe this needs to be a minimum standard for professional conferences if they want to attract good (non-local) speakers.
PS. I can wave the rainbow flag anytime I want to dude, I live in Brighton! :)
Re: conferences paying for their speakers – I totally second that!
Especially considering it’s the likes of us who are driving/promoting their brand.
:-)
