I often visit Slashdot as well. There are really interesting threads from time to time, but the AvoidFlashAlways trend seems to be, like Joan said, something that has perpetuated, after repeating the same discurse again and again. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
It's obvious there are millions of anoying Flash ads, as it's a relatively easy to learn tool and produces high-impact animations... but it seems harder to make them see flash is used A LOT for improving the www. Even when somebody tries to spot this, it's instantly refused with the FlashEvil arguments.</description>

		<description>I think that when you get a littel too much on a side of a stand, you tend to slowly missuse a positive attitude (say OpenSource, politics, etc..). That's what happens at slashdot maybe... They all are on a side and the boat just sinks in their blindness.</description>
