Anyways, hell yes. Looks like no one really cares, though, huh? Maybe you’ve thought about leaving Flex development completely… because I sure of heck have.

I’m trying to migrate a larger project from Flex 3 to Flex 4. I started at 6:30 PM today and I’m still not done at 9:45 PM.

Adobe is completely ridiculous.

Perhaps the worst migration is states. If you have a state with over 10 items being added or removed, it’s an almost impossible task to re-write it for Flex 4.

Did anyone every reply to this?

I think man that what you purpose is nearly impossible. The changes in flex components and structure are so deep that i think a 1 step tool is extremely difficult to implement…

Even that, there are good tutorials on the net to start the painfull process… I foun these that is simple. Maybe misses many things, but is interesting:

I have a query, I import Flex 3 project into Flex 4 aka Flash BUilder 4 Beta 2, now my query is which componenet set flash will use, default Halo which I used in Flex 3 or Spark Components even without chanding the namespace. Namespcace is same: xmlns:mx=”http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml”

Adobe is screwing us by not making Flex 3 to Flash Builder 4 import seamless and automatic. It’s that simple. How can they change all the packages and namespaces and not provide a migration utility. It pisses me off no end.
