Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to solve my problem. My code behind class isn’t in the root package and it still causes problems.

Thanks Steven Peeters, this is more likely a Flash Builder bug than a Air bug, right? Flash Builder can’t deside which class to choose as default.

You can solve this issue in Flash Builder by removing the code behind as Application in the “Flex Applications” part of the project properties dialog.

This doesn’t work in Flash Builder even if you move the code out of the root package it still throws this error.

Arrgg…. yay! A few weeks back I couldn’t waist another day on figuring the obscure error and left the code within the main mxml. Now I know. Thanks Aral!
