Did you think that SWX — the native data format for the Flash Platform — was dead? Think again!

I just updated the SWX web site to WordPress 2.7 and a new theme in advance of some exciting announcements that the SWX team is going to be making in the coming days.

Hi Aral,
I am trying to contact you about SWX. I have an odd problem that I seem to be missing.
How is it possible the I can call to one of my services via the Service Explorer and everything shows up fine (large array being passed back) yet when I call to the exact same service via my Flash app I get this error:
Unable to parse content: Error #2100: The ByteArray parameter in Loader.loadBytes() must have length greater than 0.
Please help me shed some light on this fast!!! Feel free to email me. It’s much faster.
Thank you!
Hi James,
I’m not involved day-to-day with SWX at the moment. Have you tried asking on the list: http://swxformat.org/list. Also, there’s a Twitter account: @swx. I’m sure Ben or Jon will be able to help you out. Good luck!
Thanks for the info! I will ask over there.
Take care.
Hi Aral,
First of all thanks for such a creative tool that you provide all the flash community. I’m talking about SWX it is such a fantastic tool to get the work in minutes, I follow your examples at opensource flash. Aral I need some guidance or a kind of solution in SWX about the dynamic sorting. As we have here in jquery the link is http://www.webresourcesdepot.com/wp-content/uploads/file/jquerydragdrop/ . We can use MySQL with SWX to communicate back and forth with it. And what should be the solution for dynamic drag and drop in flash as I gave you the example above.
Thanks so much!
Now i actually do think its dead. Is it? Or did you find an alternative?
