In 2008, over one thousand people experienced the world’s first virtual web conference. Together, we created a new type of conference that is environmentally-friendly, affordable, and interactive.

In 2009, we are going to take it one step further.

ASCII Art Doodle

Oh my, I just realized that while I was on the phone to my friend Gilles, I ASCII art doodled in TextMate!

I normally doodle on paper when on the phone but, AFAIK, this is the first time I did it while using my laptop. Should I be worried? Or have I just reached a new level of geekiness? :)

  1. You’re weirder than I thought.

That is a good thing, though.

  2. i think you once again raised the bar for geekiness ;)

  3. There used to be a really cool app on the net that could ASCII any image you cared to upload. I’m sure it’s Googleable (I’m patenting that word). It’s not doodling, but it’s great for putting after your signiture in an email ;)

  4. @Lee, there are a number of them. Ones like http://www.glassgiant.com are really simple to use. Just upload an image and select the image size. Here is one of my gravatar image for example:

Great fun; if a little pointless! :D

  5. Oh what a silly arse I am at times! I forgot it would need pre tags around it. Doh! :)

  6. :) pointless is what I do best! ;)

  7. Nolan

  8. Hey David, I added the pre tags for you to your comment.

  9. hmm, very interesting. This symmetrically designed pattern indicates the capacity to perceive yourself and others as not only whole objects, but whole objects with multi-dimensional properties as seen with the extensive use of square brackets. The vision is encapsulated in a series of slashes which represent your desire to comment or make a statement. However, almost contradictory is the use of the back-slash which could be your inner-psyche’s attempt at escaping from a world obsessed or even confined by design patterns. Alternatively, it could just be art for arts sake. :P

  10. ROTFL James, thanks! :)
