Soooo glad to see so many other folks as pissed off as I was/am and will be at the obnoxious intrusive bloatware shit this suckshit company forces on us. I did laugh, finally, when I say that AFTER disabling the autoupdate check box, the goddamn thing then GOES ON THE WEB AND CHECKS FOR UPDATES….like a freakin’ Monty Python routine.

ABSOFUCKINLUTELY! I did the “update” and installed the “latest version” of the adobe reader onto an external hd (my fuck up?!) and now any files that were on there but not in a folder are GONE! WTF! Did adobe convert the files? Erase them? Send them to cyber hell? WTF!!! There were things that I had been working on for MONTHS in there! I hate to just dump the damn program and take a chance of never recovering my files, but I most definitely want it OFF of my PC. Any suggestions anyone? HELP ME GET ADOBE READER 9 OFF MY FUCKING COMPUTER PLEASE!!

I totally agree with what stan says above…

all i use adobe software for is .pdf yet most times i try to open a .pdf adobe wants me to download…
