Moving to Wordpress 2.5 messed up my RSS feeds but I don't think it's an issue that should affect others (I had a unique setup).
I'm using the FeedBurner FeedSmith plugin and for some reason I apparently had a weird setup where I'd duplicated the wp-rss2.php script to wp-new-rss2.php, had FeedBurner feeding off of wp-new-rss2.php and forward all calls to the various feed URLs (including wp-rss2.php) to Feedburner (I think this might have had something to do with a setup we had with Dave for placing Joard job listings on my feed). Anyway, this was working with previous versions but with WP 2.5 the wp-new-rss2.php script started returning an empty feed.

To fix it, I simply removed wp-new-rss2.php and had FeedBurner feed off of wp-rss2.php. It seems to have worked. If you are still having issues with the feed, or notice any other strangeness with the site, please leave me a comment to let me know. Thanks!
(And yes, this post is, in part, to test that the feed is updating correctly!) :)

Yah, the feeds are working again :)
Thanks, David.
Aral, I just completed a project under development for a year (baby, book, work..). It’s a blog instant update service called RelayMonkey (flash/php). You register your blog and get a widget that provides your readers with instant email updates whenever you post. Please check it out at relaymonkey.com and I’d appreciate your feedback (via my email) if you get a chance. Thanks and I hope to sign up as a reader of your blog soon.
I have a similar problem with custom feeds I have created, with 2.5 only the default list of feed pages is working. To test this theory simply duplicate wp-rss.php and name it something like wp-my-rss.php and you will get a blank feed (it seems to fail within the item loop). Still looking for a solution but I believe that is why your -new file was blank.
За такие посты надо награды давать, на полном серьезе!
