Aral... for service powered Flex in drupal... check out my blog post here: http://visualrinse.com/2008/03/06/creating-seo-flash-user-interfaces-with-drupal/

My friends at cascadingstyle.net have done a bit of work on this... a swfaddress module for drupal, integration with AMF, services, etc... Drupal does indeed have a nice services layer. We use it at Iona for our client sites often.

Hi Aral,

These are good news for people want to develop custom blog social networks, specially the people that want to integrate it with CMS like drupal and joomla. However the last one, have at least two problems, first, the low quantity of users permissions, and second, cause in the few experiences that developers tried to integrate WUWP with J!1.X, never got full integration, i mean, it was a mix between in box and out box, as frontend was integrated with joomla, but the backend administration it's done outside of it. It is not impossible, but is hard to achieve, and you will need for sure a couple of good developers working on it to get the desired result. I don't mention the drupal features i've never tried it, but someone else can speak about it.
Just one thing Aral, i didn't get your point about "the more I feel that a clean, service-oriented custom solution is the best one for the Flex-based Singularity conference application." (My english is not the best one ;))

Brgds,
