Jed Hurt has updated SWX Ruby, the SWX RPC implementation in Ruby (currently for Ruby on Rails) to Alpha 0.1.1. He has also recorded a new screencast to show you how to get up and running with it.

Hi Aral! I´ll like to have a go at implementing SWX for PYthon, is there someone else working on this? What is the minimum that I would have to do? Just port SWXCompiler.php?

It may be of use to you to check out the SWX Ruby specification suite: http://swxruby.rubyforge.org/svn/trunk/spec/
It should give you a pretty good idea of the type of behavior that a SWX library needs to implement.
