First night of Flashforward, the goodie bag, new camcorder, and iPhone + Flashforward speaker’s dinner

This is the vlog entry from the first night of Flashforward that I wasn't able to upload because of YouTube's 10 minute limit. Got a few moments so I've split it up into two parts.

This is the actual vlog entry where I look through the FF goodie bag (oooh aaah) and show off my (then) new camcorder (more ooohs) and (as of then unlocked) iPhone.
Meet the Flashforward speakers in a behind-the-scenes look at the speaker's dinner.

  1. Is that IPhone worth the money? Next year (if i have the money) I will be there at Flash Forward 2008.

Thanks for posting all those vlogs by the way!!

  2. Hi jankees: It’s seriously cool — I love it :) Hope to see you at FF ‘08.

  3. Excellent down-to-earth videos. Loved the trip through the goodie bag, I think I just woke the neighbours up with a loud burst of laughter.

Looks like you’re having a great time in Boston. Have as good a time in Cologne. (Just got back from Munich myself).

    Hi Aral,
Those vlogs were funny. Thanks for the insight! Way too much crap in the ‘goodie’ bag! Really looking forward to Flash on the Beach!

  5. Hi Aral,
We met at the first DConstruct last year (Im the amercian living in Milan). My friend is bring me an Iphone
which I will unlock here…I assume its worth the effort considering that here in Italy its still up in the air as regards to who will carry it…Apart from that complements on your Flex log site…its great.

  6. Hey Mike, Jase: Thanks, guys! I’m rather enjoying making them :)

@Nazim: I’d say it’s definitely worth the effort. I guess you do lose out on a data connection (maybe not everywhere in Europe but T-Mobile here in the UK doesn’t support it apparently — I called them today to find out for sure and they said as much). But still, it’s a lovely phone. I don’t think anyone who designs experiences, whether mobile or not, can afford to not play with one at least! It feels like you’re holding the future in your hand.
