I totally understand what you’re saying, been there done that (seen the webDU 2006’s meet the people app lately? cripes..)

Anyways, looking forward to more stuff! Good luck in getting good opportunities with a good environment to shoot it (I know how tough it is)

Hi Graeme,

Yeah, two video production degrees (undergrad/grad) and you’d think I’d shoot better video, right? :) ~~The problem with the shot isn’t the framing, it’s iMovie’s settings (set to wide by mistake instead of 4:3).~~ Actually, no wait, that was the issue with the stuff I shot on the iSight camera previously. In this one, I guess you just don’t like my framing. I can’t really carry a tripod around for practical reasons so somewhat shaky video it’s going to have to be :)

As for overall aesthetic quality, I’m going for content more than aesthetics at the moment. It was the only place nearby that had at least enough light to see by :) Figured I’d rather get the interview than not.

Hi Aral,

Great that you were able to nab Kevin for so long! Thanks for posting.

Can I offer a quick tip though with your new video blogging?

Quick, go grab a tripod. It really improves the viewing experience and you can keep the subject in frame instead of having half his head cut off half the video :)

Oh yeah, might want to stay out of the sun, poor Kevin looks a little pale on one side and really tanned on the other.

Really looking forward to seeing more vids though. Wish I could make it to these conferences but just don’t have the time at the moment.
