We have a Sony (we have an HC40E but they don't make it anymore, about 3 years old and it rocks!) and both Paul and my bro (filmmakers by training) say they are da bomb, so that's my rec for a camcorder. As for the DSLR, don't even speak to me :p ;-) Jealous MUCH!
