Wow! My last post was the 1,000th on aralbalkan.com. I was thinking of writing something special for the 1,000th post but, in true blog style, it just happened to be on whatever was on my mind at the time (my new N800!)

When I was young, I remember pledging that one day I would write a computer program that had more than 1,000 lines of code in it (it seemed like such a huge number back then). Since then, I've probably written closer to 100,000 lines (and realized that less is more) but a thousand blog posts is still a cool milestone. I wonder how many posts I've written in total when you add up the ones on my previous blogs.
I should check the backups one day...

Congratulations! That’s quite a feat. I think I’m on about 500 and that’s including old blogs.
Lets see how long it takes you to get to 10,000 :)

1000 lines of code. That’s funny.. yeah, of course you want fewer lines–but some stuff is complex. I have students ask me how many lines of code something took and I don’t even know how to count it. How?

Congratulations Aral! That is a huge milestone. With some luck and dedicaton I may get there someday.

Blog spammers are nothing more than petty thieves, raping your site for financial gain. These sad, pitiful people are not worth the time of day.
